Dear Fellow Blog Followers,
Apologies for not being here for your reading pleasure until now, but we had a very busy December! We ended up traveling to Calgary for a very hectic but awesome Christmas with our sons, arriving on Dec. 21st.
It is always great to show up and walk in the door to find the living room furniture in the dining room and the Christmas tree (partially decorated - lights only) in the middle of the living room!!! Ugh... that had to wait a couple of days until we were ready to finish the decorations and place it properly in its spot for the Season.
Final Christmas shopping, madly decorating the tree, groceries for the big feast, frantic wrapping, and we were ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day festivities. It truly was an awesome Christmas.
Our travels home on Jan. 1st, however, were not so enjoyable:
- Flight had problems, cancelled flight, and ended up at the Calgary house just to do it all over again the next day. HOISH!!!
- Initially locked out, but finally got in.
- Sleepless night, up early to catch the rescheduled flight and arrived at the airport by 6:45 am to find out the flight did not leave until 11:30 am (we were told 9:30 am confirmed departure).
- Flight to Dallas left late (after much ado), but we finally made it back to Dallas on Jan. 2nd.
It was a pleasure as always to hear from many friends and family over the Holidays!!!
